Pink by any other Name!

Hi All!

Good Morning!  It's gonna be another wild shopping day! Unless your the lucky few that are finished shopping for Christmas! hehe I am! YAY me! 

So This is NYC - Classic Coral. It is a pretty sheer sparkly pink! I love NYC colors, I'm just not always happy how they apply. This is 3 coats Its thin but builds well! On its own it shimmers and shines. Look how awesome it look on the nail! How could I give up on such a beautiful color! The pictures are kinda fuzzy. I honesty think the sparkles freaked out my camera! At The bottom I Put the comparison for Nails Like Lace!  =)

Coral is more on the pink side Vineyard is on the red side. Coral is also more sparkly, thou Vineyard  is sparkly but just not as pronounced. Both are gorgeous colors!

Tangerine!

Hi all!

Yesterday and today is just yucky around here. Rain and cold just makes everyone cranky. So to brighten it up I have a Bright swatch! 

This is NYC - Times Square Tangerine Creme. I loved this color in the bottle. It had a milky orange-ish melon look. After I put it on it was abit darker then what I was thinking. Still a pretty color just a little disappointing. Kinda like when you take drink thinking its coke and it tea instead. Like most of NYC polishes I found it streaky and did 3 coats to get a nice even look to it. All in all I like the color its different from the normal orange.

NYC - 105 Starry Silver Glitter

I loved this when I first saw it and had to have it. It is so clear looking and the big blue glitter just seems to be suspended in a starry multi-colored background. It applies smoothly and slowly build the blue glitter. But the background small crystal glitter build up faster so it keep the suspended look. I  used 4 coats because I didnt want  a base color. I like the sheer coverage of the nail. I think it would be amazing on other colors too. I might swatch that. hmm : )

Hello everyone!

 I had time to do my nails in the daytime.Woo Whoo!

 Today's color is NYC in a minute quick dry - 206 East Village.

I saw this and loved the color. This is really really sheer and thin when applied. It not streaky but it doesn't seem to cover equally leaving a bald spot here and there. But it is smooth and glides easy over the nail. Oh I so love this brush! I love it so much I almost forgive its sheer flaw.

Here is the brush its flat and square. Love it!

So after the Second coat I decided to show you how this polish build. I knew it would take awhile. So please don't mind the mess.

Still see through thou the shine helps cover it up.

Its not totally opaque but this coat seems to complete it. I didn't think another coat would help or hurt the look. I do like the color. But it is alot of coat for my taste.

Purple Day!

Hey Everyone!

Well today I picked up NYC (New York Color) polishes.

I have never use this brand before so I was quite exited!

 NYC - Purple Pizzazz Frost 3 coats

When applying the first coat I found it thin and very streaky. The brush didn't fan as much as I like, and also felt like it was sticking not a smooth guild down the nail. With the second coat it almost felt globy and to thick (like old polish) and still streaky. I Had to do a third coat to clean up the splotchiness left. The third coat did the trick and it leveled out nicely. I really do not like the polish formal and hope the rest are not like this. However, I do love this color! Its hard to tell in the pictures but it a beautiful purple - blue hue depending how it hits the light. You can also so see glints of pink in the purple as it moves. It also give a deep purple or a deep blue when it out of the light. There is not a top coat on. It is that shiny by it's self.  I love shine! I picked this up for a dollar so i'm not so upset and still love the color.
